Michigan Regional Council of Carpenters Training Center is new construction of a 67,290 square foot facility utilized to house the Union Hall and Regional Apprenticeship Training Center. The project was completed on 12 acres of the 19-acre undeveloped parcel in Wayland, Michigan.
The site was developed with water, sanitary, fire suppression, gas and electrical service connections to public utilities. The storm water management system was designed to serve as a community system for the current and future development. The building has a substantial presence along US-131 and is a visual example of Schweitzer’s capabilities.
The building consists of a Union Hall and Recruitment Center featuring general office space, marketing board room, recruitment center and large member meeting & banquet hall. The training center features instructor offices, instructional classrooms, clerestory training labs and an impressive mezzanine for mock-up instruction.
